NANS Presidential Hopeful, Alli Egbesola Welcomes Nigerian Students Back to Schools , Commends State Govts, Charges FG to Follow Suit .
National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) Presidential hopeful, Comrade Alli Egbesola popularly known as neonate has welcomed all Nigerian students back to schools . He commended state governments for putting necessary measures in place to re open schools in many of their respective states and he advised federal government of Nigeria to follow suit .
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”.
Of The Greatest Nigerian Students!!! Great!!! . We, team ALLI EGBESOLA FOR NANS NATIONAL PRESIDENT, welcome our people back to schools after conquering the fear and containing the disastrous pandemic of Corona Virus popularly known as COVID-19. We use this medium to appreciate some state governments, especially in southwestern part of the country, who have found it imperative to reopen schools for pupils of elementary levels as well as that of secondary school students like wise proposed date for resumption of tertiary institutions of learning, we say kudos to you all .
Also, we use this medium again to charge Federal Government to reopen all our federal government -owned schools across the country, if other many uncoordinated gathering is allowed why should schools that have total coordination or that could have are still under lock ? Federal government should note that school closures have clear negative impacts on child health, education and development, family income and the overall economy.
The decision to reopen schools should include consideration of the following benefits:
*Allowing students to complete their studies and transit to the next levels
*Essential services, access to nutrition, child welfare, such as preventing violence against children
*Social and psychological well-being of students as positive impacts of relating with their peer groups .
*Access to reliable information on how to keep themselves and others safe
*Reducing the risks of idleness
*Benefits to society and family. Such as allowing parents to work and contribute to family progress .
With all these aforementioned benefits, we plead that federal government should reopen schools. Let’s remember that an idle hand is devil’s workshop.
Now that some state governments have opened elementary schools and proposed date for reopening their tertiary institutions, we should not forget that the deadly virus called Corona virus is still very much around with us. We should not forget our duties as governments, parents and individuals to stay save and keep our society safe .
Emphatically, we should all adhere to precautions and preventions that have been spelt out to send Corona Virus away in our country. Yes, this is very possible by having all hands on deck .
As our manifesto is students&masses – centred, we will use all links we have to create more awareness and time to time orientation and reorientation for our people to be safe and wage also win the war against the disastrous deadly virus, COVID-19. And we promise to do more and always be on the side of people if the man of real vision and mission, Com. ALLI EGBESOLA is elected as Nigerian Students number one servant, NANS PRESIDENT .
conclusively, we wish all Nigerian Students bo at home and in diasporas happy resumption and appeal to everybody take precautionary steps and preventive measures serious as we all know that health is wealth.
