Nigeria: Akeem Adeyemi Fosters Unity As FG Unveils 60th Independence Anniversary Commemorative Stamps.

The Digital Economy sector has again recorded another milestone as the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami yesterday unveiled the Diamond anniversary commemorative postage stamps in Abuja.

At the event, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Communications, Prince Akeem Adeyemi fostered unity and maintained that, “it is a great honour for him to address the august gathering at the unveiling of the Nigeria at 60 Independence Commemorative Stamps by the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).

“Our nation, Nigeria has come of age and the stamps to be unveiled here today adduced to the unity of the country and the progress we have made over the years as one united entity and the unmatched resilience of Nigerians”, he stated.

Adeyemi furthet reiterated that, “Committee of the House of Representatives on Communications and him and indeed the House and by extension the National Assembly will continue to provide parliamentary support to improve the service delivery of the Nigerian Postal Service to the betterment of Nigerians and indeed the nation’s economy.

“The NIPOST is a revenue generating agency of the Federal Government and as representatives of the people of Nigeria, we will continue to support them”, he said.

“On this note, I must commend the patriotic efforts of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Postmaster General/Chief Executive and all staff of NIPOST in putting this together”, he concluded.
