Nigeria At 61: We’ve Come A Long Way Together – Oyo Guber Hopeful, Mogaji Joseph Tegbe Greets Nigerians, Fosters Peace, Unity.
A leading Gubernatorial Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has greeted Nigerians, especially, the good people of Oyo-State, on the occasion of this year Nigeria’s independence anniversary.
In a statement issued today in Ibadan to mark the 61st anniversary of the Independence, the Policy Expert, Mogaji Tegbe stated that;
“Long before the 60’s, our heroes past clamoured for the independence of our beloved nation, Nigeria. Despite the new and recurring issues we have as a nation, it is vital for us as a people to celebrate our successes as a nation.
We have come a long way and been through a lot together as a multicultural, multilingual, multi-religious nation with diverse interests. In spite of our many differences, Nigeria has remained one since independence and that in itself is worthy of celebration.
We must not allow the issues we face together as a country deter us from fulfilling our obligations to Nigeria as a nation. The national pledge should be our daily creed and we should allow those words reflect in our daily lives. The true power of our nation remains with the people and must be used wisely and honestly for the betterment of our yet unborn generations.
It would do us a lot of good if we take this time out to reflect on our dear country and how to make her better. The change we all require begins with us as individuals.
Happy Independence Day Nigerians”, Mogaji Tegbe concluded.
