NPFL: 3SC Ends 2025 Home Campaign With A Win Over Niger Tornadoes • Coach Aweroro Appreciates Fans, Supporters

Shooting Stars International Sports Club of Ibadan has ended its 2025 home campaign with a 2-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes of Minna in week 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Sunday, December 21.
3SC came into the game as a superior team by dominating the game from the third to the last minutes of the encounter.
Adelowo Gbolagade put the home side ahead with a spot-kick after Awosanmi Promise was fouled by Tornadoes defender in the 45th minute of the game.
Promise came in as a substitute in the 34th minute after Adam Mustapha could not continue the match due to injury. However, the home side was wasteful upfront, which could have enhanced its victory with a wide goal margin.
A decisive finish by 3SC players was converted by Promise in the 65th minute, which increased the goal tally to two. The duo of Qamar Adegoke, Awosanmi Promise, Onyemaechi Austin, Ayobami Junior, and Ayodele Ismail were denied by the goalkeeper and defenders of the away side to fire in the third goal.
Kufre Ebong converted a chance for the away team in the extra minute of the game, which helped the North Central team to close the margin of the scoreline as the match ended in 2 goals to 1.
Addressing the press, Head Coach of the Oluyole Warriors, Nurudeen Aweroro, noted that his team will work on the wasted chances by the attackers, which will minimise wasted chances in upcoming matches; increase the intensity of the attacking lines to keep the team formidable upfront; and work on the recovery rate of the team to hinder opponents from converting their chances. “I have been discussing with the team management bringing in new strikers that will enhance the attacking line of the team, and I appreciate our fans and supporters for their loyalty, commitment, and support, and I assured them of a better outing in 2026.
As reliably gathered, The Oluyole Warriors will travel to Aba to face the Elephant of Enyimba in the week 19 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
