OFC : Akeem Adeyemi Organises ICT Workshop, Donates Laptops As Bayo Adelabu Chairs Event, Urges Youth to Be Self Reliant .

As the world continue to celebrate International Youth Day, the Member , House of Representatives from Oyo Federal Constituency, Prince Akeem Adeyemi popularly known as Skimmeh has just concluded a 5 day ICT capacity building for youths in the constituency .

Speaking at the programme, the APC Governorship Candidate in the 2019 Election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu who doubled as the chairman of the event said the task of reducing unemployment in the country is a collective responsibility of all and sundry .

Chief Adelabu explained that government alone can not provide job for the millions of people seeking employment at the same time but we require a paradigm shift to discover alternatives.

Former CBN Deputy Governor in a statement by one of his Media aides Comrade, Femi Awogboro said millions of people can be self reliant through vocational training, ICT workshops and empowerment programme if effectively managed.

“This kind of programme would go along way in reducing unemployment especially among the youth and boosting the economy of the country rather than distributing money or unproductive equipment to our youth.” Adelabu affirmed .

As the chairman of the occasion, Chief Adelabu commended the facilitators for impacting positively the lives of the people especially, youths in Oyo Federal Constituency.

Chief Adelabu lauded the federal lawmaker for complementing the efforts of the Federal Government led by President Muhammad Buhari in the area of youth empowerment and training for advancement of the country.

The event was attended by members of the political class, party chieftains and representatives of youths in Oyo Federal constituency .
