Ogun APC UK Inaugurates New Excos, Launches Gov Dapo Abiodun’s Re-election Campaign Council, Backs Other Candidates.

The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in United Kingdom(UK) has officially inaugured OGAPC-UK 2023 Re-election Campaign Council for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s gubernatorial bid. The party chapter also replicated same for all APC flagbearers from presidential level to assembly level.

OGAPC-UK formally sworn in their newly elected executive members at a well attended event, held, yesterday, Sunday November 27, 2022 at Jam Park in UK with distinguished personalities and many APC chieftains in attendance.

Among personalities that graced the occasion were all the South West Chairmen of APC UK caucuses. Namely, Lagos APC UK Caucus, Hon. Tayo Shodeinde, DG Diaspora Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), former Oyo State APC UK Caucus, Hon. Kola Saidu among others.

Also in attendance were former Speaker of Hackney Council London, Clr Sade Etti, Hon. Segun Animashaun, Mayor Muyiwa Adesua, the South West APC Chairman and the DG APC UK Presidential Campaign Council, and others.

The historic event was well organised and the programme was in two fold.

The swearing in of the newly elected officers was conducted in a constitutional manner which is the known trademark of OGAPC-UK. The swearing in was withnessed by teaming party faithful and it was overseen by Hon. Francis Akpan-Inwang (The chapter’s election Committee Chairman) . All appointed officers were called individually to take an oat office and the last to take his oat of office was the re-elected OGAPC-UK Chairman, Hon. Andrew Adewunmi Taiwo.

Congratulatory speech to the newly sworn in officers was delivered by Hon. Tayo Shodeinde.

The second part of the eventful programme was as good as the first. The OGAPC-UK Chairman, Hon. Andrew Taiwo popularly known as “AAT” gallantly delivered his speech, and unveiled the campaign committee.

On the sidelines of the event, the newly sworn in Chairman, Hon. Andrew Taiwo revealed that,”As stated in the previous months, the principal goals and main objectives of the OGAPC-UK Chapter are to assiduously work for the re-election of His excellency, Governor (Prince) Dapo Abiodun. Yes, within this Ogun APC UK chapter, we’re fully committed to ensuring reelection of Gov. Dapo Abiodun, by canvassing supports of all Ogun State voters for our amiable governor, and mobilising voters to elect APC Presidential Standardbearer,  the one and only, Ashiwaju Bola Ammed Tinubu.

“We’re also seriously determined to ensure that all APC candidates in Ogun State are voted for, come 2023 general elections.

Hon. Taiwo(AAT) further revealed that,”80% of OGAPC-UK Chapter executives and members have their voters card and prepared not only to travel to Nigeria but also prepared to campaign door to door in Nigeria, and also influence their kith and kin to achieve their goals.

The event was elaborate, and it was beautified with the colourful attire of Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s re-election souvenirs, especially, the cloth which was exclusively designed in golden colour, unisex dansiki and prestigious hat. Also, Tinubu /Shetima Ankara, various election T. shirts and face caps belonging to their principals also rented the atmosphere of the event.
