Ogun State : Govt Continues Work on Owode-Ilaro Road As Engineers Install Drainages , APC UK Lauds .

As Ogun Govt pursues taking over two Federal Roads for reconstruction

Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration of Ogun state has consolidated working on Owode-Ilaro Road construction project, which was abandoned by the previous administration.

The road is now wearing a new look as engineers continue to work and install drainages . And the Ogun state APC of United Kingdom(UK) branch under the chairmanship of Hon. Andrew Adewunmi Taiwo has commended the laudable project and other ongoing infrastructural developments across the state .

” Residents and road users in Yewa and its environs groaned for the long period when this viable road was abandoned, as every journey through the road meant the hazardous inhalation of dust or the uncertainty of getting stuck in deep gullies” .

” The incumbent Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in fulfilling his promise to complete all roads his Administration met abandoned, has however returned the contractor in charge to site, and significant progress has so far been made “.

” The Owode-Ilaro Road in Yewa is a very strategic road which serves as a major bypass for road users, linking towns like Idiroko, Ado and Oke Odan to other major cities in Ogun State, including Ilaro and Abeokuta “.

” While serving its role as a major bypass, the Owode-Ilaro Road will on completion ease the traffic burden on the popular Sango-Idiroko Road, which is a Federal Road where the Ogun State Government is putting palliative works in place to minimise the hardship being faced by the public, while a permanent solution is sought ” , the state government maintained .

” It would be recalled that Governor Dapo Abiodun is in talks with the Federal Government, as he seeks transfer of the Lagos-Abeokuta and Sango-Idiroko Expressways to the Ogun State Government for immediate full reconstruction “.

” When completed, the Owode-Ilaro Road, which is very close to one of the State’s industrial areas, will aid the socioeconomic development of Ogun State and bring significant relief to residents, who have for years lost every sense of entitlement in the hands of the previous administration, as they carry out their daily business activities “.
