Oladiran Alabi Pays Tribute to Late Olubadan

Honourable Oladiran Alabi, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, is deeply saddened by the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, at the ripe age of 90.
The prominent politician in his condolences made available to journalists in the early hours of today in Ibadan extended his heartfelt condolences to the Olubadan-in-Council, the entire Ibadan kingdom, and Oyo State at large.

According to Alabi, the late Olubadan’s reign, though very brief, was marked by peace, unity, prosperity, and progress in Ibadanland.

“His Imperial Majesty was my father, who supported my ambition, and I’m eternally grateful for that. His leadership style and wisdom earned him the respect and admiration of his subjects. Under his stewardship, Ibadanland experienced unprecedented growth and development, cementing its position as a thriving metropolis,” Alabi hailed.
Alabi expressed his deepest sympathies to the royal family, particularly the children, grandchildren, and other relatives of the late Olubadan, while praying that the Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and surround them with love, comfort, and peace.
“The late Olubadan’s legacy will be remembered for his commitment to peace, unity, and progress. His reign was characterised by inclusiveness, tolerance, and a deep understanding of the needs of his people. His leadership serves as a model for future generations of traditional rulers,” he declared.
Alwbi described the late Olubadan as a great monarch who worked tirelessly to promote the interests of Ibadanland and its people. His passing is a significant loss to the kingdom, and his legacy will be cherished for years to come.
Alabi prayed that the soul of the late Olubadan rests in peace, and may his family and the people of Ibadanland find solace in the memories of his remarkable life and achievements.
“May the Almighty comfort the bereaved.
As we, the people of Ibadanland, mourn the loss of our beloved monarch,” Alabi prayed.
Alabi added,”May the Almighty comfort the bereaved family and grant them the strength to cope with their loss. May the legacy of the late Olubadan’s wisdom, leadership, and service to the kingdom be cherished and built upon for the continued prosperity of Ibadanland.”
