OLANIYAN AND PDP: The Trajectory of A Technocrat In Politics !! By AbdulWaheed Lawal.

It appears, omode bu iroko, o boju wehin,  omode gbagbe pe oojo ko ni oluwere n pa ni.

In what looks like “adabi”, PDP Oyo state continues to reap the fruits of her iniquities or those aberrations and political abominations committed by her gate keepers against Engr. Remi Olaniyan.

Just look at the number of victims and casualties of “omi titun political ideology”. I wonder the quantity of libations and sacrifices she would need to make to appease the gods.

Just curious! How many old breed politicians will Makinde retire? I remember Sen. Ayoade Adeseun, Hon. Mulikat Akande, Alh Olopoeniyan,  Hon Jibola Muraina and others too numerous to mention.

Can the leaders of coalition groups ever wish or pray for the success of PDP in Oyo State?

The falling of the yellow leaves is a sign to the green one. If you are one of the old politician in PDP, just read the handwriting on the walls, your retirement letter has been typed , signed and waiting only for a date to be inserted and served on you. Others will just be packed aside.

If you are enjoying now and smiling that the likes of Engr Olaniyan and Olopoeniyan were dealt with, yours is coming.

Do people even bother to understand meaning and implications of the word “Omititun”?

The concept of Omititun is to flush out old water and the old water is the old politicians.

What Makinde is trying to do is simply to create a dynasty in which only him will be at the top and others will see him as the alpha and omega. I have carefully studied the philosophy  and I cant but come to that irresistible conclusion that it was a political genocide.  When you heard Gov Makinde repeatedly saying he has no god father, mentor or political leader, did you think he was joking? No, he understood what he was saying but most of us didn’t.

The press has never bothered, to the best of my knowledge, to interrogate him and unravel the mystery behind that name. May be they will do so now.

Will any of the undergraduate or post graduate students of political science or sociology undertake a research into this political ideology or concept?

As for H. E. Engr. Olaniyan, it appears he was scammed.. Or can we say what happened was a political baptism?
This was a technocrat coming straight to contest for governorship but was cajoled, sweet talked and hoodwinked into accepting to run with another gubernatorial candidate. I’m sure, he has learnt a lot of lessons not to be too trusting. The day he accepted to be a running mate, I was not happy. I was not happy because God revealed to me his ambition to govern the state later might be suspended or prolonged.

I saw it that the journey for a gubernatorial candidate from Okeogun to emerge the governor of the state has been postponed by some years. I’m one of the most understood but I will continue to say my mind until I breath my last. After all, I have lost a son. Why should I be afraid of speaking the truth because of fear of death.

It is very clear that there is no leader that is for all in Okeogun.  Each leader of Okeogun is either pursuing selfish personal agenda or town agenda. As for me, nobody and I mean nobody can cow me down. I will not suffer a fool gladly.

Why will any person from Okeogun coerce me to follow their own agenda or force me to succumb to blackmail. None of the so called political gladiators in Okeogun is enough to be my father.

If at 60 less 1 year, anybody thinks I will be following the Okeogun lo kan script written by one or group of persons for themselves, such a person is commiting a serious blunder.

If Engr Olaniyan is innocent and does not deserve the treatment meted out to him, I know there would be repercussions for what they did to him.

How is Senator Ayoola Agboola Alleluyah?.
Personally,  I like him and I respect him because he also respects people. Give it to him, he is very humble. Do you know that he could prostrate before a day old baby.

Alleluyah has now been sandwiched between Gov Makinde and Barr. Bayo Lawal. If I may ask,  what is now the status of Alleluyah? As for me, he is neither the state leader of PDP nor Okeogun PDP leader as far as the present arrangement is concerned. What is he now? Is he also licking his wounds?

Barr. Bayo Lawal to me is a very nice man. I can’t deny that.  He has a lot of native wisdom, very thorough and painstaking. He reads memo line by line like Gov Lam Adesina and marks grammatical errors, cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘i’s. Oh my God! Of all the Okeogun leaders that I know, he has the best human relations. He approaches you with a smiling face and treats an average Okeogun son as if you are from the same compound with him.

In our culture in Okeogun, your wife is our wife. An individual does not have children, it is our children.  When Bayo Lawal meets you and greets you, he asks “iyawo mi nko?”, omo mi nko? ( meaning  How is my wife? How are my children’?) Sorry, the indomie  or hashtag generation may not understood this.

I have not bothered to say hello to him since he assumed duty as deputy governor. It is based on principle.  And I am very sure he understands. I will not recognise him until the Supreme Court validates the impeachment and removal of Deputy Governor Engr. Olaniyan.

I have challenged people not to call Engr. Rauf Olaniyan as a former deputy governor.  He is still a deputy governor although  not in office. Because he has challenged his impeachment and removal in the court of justice and the matter is at the appeals level, he is at best described the embattled deputy governor. If he won, in the high of the law, it would be as if he was never impeached.

Whatever anybody might say, Engr. Olaniyan has been wronged. If God decides to punish PDP  or those who betrayed him, nobody should pity them.

The mal treatment of Olaniyan and the inability of Okeogun leaders, has made nonsense of any Okeogun lo kan advocacy.

I have learnt a lesson that “asiwere eniyan lo ma ku nitori ilu”. Everybody for himself and God for us all.

May God bless everybody who reads my write up with open mind and may He forgive those who might insult me.
