Chief Adebayo Adelabu, former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN, has described Late Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajeogunniso-I as an exemplary leader whose impact will be forever remembered by the people of Ibadan, Oyo state and Nigeria.
Chief Adelabu who is the Agba-akin Parakoyi of Ibadanland said that during late Monarch’s reign, Oba Adetunji left an indelible mark, especially, in crisis resolution and attraction of investors to the ancient city.
Chief Adelabu in his condolence message made available to journalists by one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro eulogized the late Olubadan for being a father of all, irrespective of their cultural, religious and political affiliations.
The Oyo State 2023 Governorship Aopeful, Adelabu appreciated late Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji for his prayers and fatherly advice to him at all times when he was alive.
Chief Adelabu “sympathized with the Olubadan In Council, the Government and the people of Oyo State, especially Ibadan indigenes and prayed to God to grant the monarch Aljanah Firdaus.
