The death of the Chairman of All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu has been described as a great loss to Nigeria as a country.
This declaration was contained in a press release issued and made available to journalists in the early hours of today by the Senator representing the people of Oyo North Senatorial District, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai.
Describing the sad news of demise of Hon. Omodewu as a rude shock to him, Senator Buhari said he had just lost a brother, colleague and friend whose contributions to the sustainable democracy of Nigeria can never be forgotten.
According to Senator Buhari, Hon. Omodewu was not only the State Chairman of APC in Oyo State but a reliable constituent of Oyo North Senatorial District with a very shining future as a politician from the district.
“In fact, something terrible just happened to us in Oyo North APC this morning. Omodewu is one of the very few who immensely contributed to the promotion of peace and unity among my constituents even outside the APC as a political party”, the Lawmaker stated.
Senator Buhari added “I condole with his immediate family in the United States of America, his family at Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government area of Oyo State, the entire people of Oke Ogun, Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigeria over the death of an astute administrator and politician with human face, Hon. Omodewu”.
He prayed onto God to give his family, friends associate and generality of people in APC in Oyo State and Nigeria at large fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
