Omodewu’s Sudden Death Is Devastating – Alalade
Honourable Ademola Alalade, an aspirant in the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-elections, has mourned the passing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Oyo State, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu.
In his condolence message, Alalade wrote:”It was a rude shock to hear the sad news of the sudden death of the Oyo State Chairman, Barrister Issac Ajiboye Omodewu which occurred in the early hours of today in far away United States.
The party just coming to terms of the passage of two term serving member of the House of representatives representing Ibadan North late, Honourable Musiliu Akinremi barely a month ago woke up today to this devastating news of Omodewu’s exit.
The former Commissioner in various ministry’s under the leadership of Late governor Ajimobi was a diligent and selfless leader who played a pivotal role is stabilising the APC in Oyo State .
During his tenure as the chairman of the party, he was able to deliver three senatorial seats and about 8 reps seat for the party in the National Assembly.
Omodewu will be remembered for his exemplary leadership skills which he used in advancing the APC in Oyo State. His dedication to the development of public service can also not be forgotten.
As the entire APC mourns his passage, I want to commiserate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National chairman of the party, Abdulahi Ganduje, the entire national working committee of the party, the state party Exco and the entire APC family in Oyo State and most importantly his immediate family over this unfortunate incident.
I pray God will grant each and everyone the fortitude to bear the loss and may God grant the deceased eternal rest.
