Ondo Decides: Oyo ALGON Congratulates Akeredolu, Sues for Unity, Dedication Among Party Members for Future Election .
The Association of Local Government of Nigeria(ALGON), Oyo State Chapter on Sunday has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his reelection, saying his victory in the Saturday governorship election was well deserved.
Oyo ALGON also congratulated the Chairman of APC in Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehin, the Chairman of the Campaign Committee, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and all party faithful who put in their best and braved the odds to ensure a successful outing for the flag bearer.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, he described the election as a victory for the progressives.
The Chairman said the people of Ondo State have through their votes, demonstrated their preference for continuity in transformative leadership and progressive governance which Akeredolu represents.
Aleshinloye expressed delight and commended the party hierarchy and stakeholders in Ondo State for closing up the ranks among them irrespective of the rancour, this singular act goes a long way in ensuring the historical victory for the party at the guber poll. This feat could only be achieved through the power of unity.
He called on party members in Oyo State to imbibe unity, perseverance and remain dedicated to the party’s principles and ideals for development, that the party cannot afford to lag behind in future elections.
He claimed that the same spirit of unity, dedication, perseverance and togetherness in the face of uncertainty gave the party the desired victory during the guber election in Ondo State.
“It is my prayer that God will grant you wisdom, knowledge and the needed resources to attend to your campaign promises to the people,” he added.
