“When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Coughs, His Foes Quiver: BAT-PHOBIA”.
Synopsis:
At a programme commemorating the 6th year coronation of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, His Imperial Majesty stated in his speech that other bigwigs in Yoruba land should support Asiwaju, for example, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential aspiration in 2023. Ooni said that Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom did not get to the position of national icon by mistake but by God’s grace through hard work, sacrifice and persistence.
In the charismatic manners of some people, some Yoruba leaders have been warning our highly cherished monarch and royal patron of TLF, Ooqni Adeyeye to desist from supporting any aspirant for Nigerian presidency in 2023. But the question is simple, how many presidential aspirants from Yoruba land wield popularity that spreads across the nooks and crannies of the country like Asiwaju Tinubu?
Yes, Yoruba land has people who might eye or are eyeing Nigerian presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and other political parties, come 2023, but BAT remains a gold among special metals.
Definitely, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a born and great leader who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. He is tested and trusted. He has efficiently managed the affairs of Lagos state and effectively led progressive party to victories at all levels. BAT is a detribalized Nigerian who treats men, equally, irrespective of their creed or colour, religion or region. BAT is the best man for the presidential job.
Though, I am not saying that Asiwaju Tinubu must be the only candidate from Yorubaland and it is only God that has no likes, but it is crystalline clear that there is no aspirant, in Yorubaland that has Jagaban’s clout, popularity and adorability, across the states of the federation. Of course, Asiwaju Tinubu has intimidating grassroots appeals and widespread grasstops connections.
Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom is a “Cappon D’attuti Cappii”, boss of bosses. Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as a man of God, will not forget his mentor and destiny-helper, Asiwaju BAT. Governor Kayode Fayemi must reciprocate the kind gesture of his stolen mandate-restorer and benefactor, Asiwaju BAT. Senator Izkilu Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun-state should retrace his steps and prove Omoluabi ethos that Yorubas are known for by submitting himself to his political rescuer and heaven sent knight, Asiwaju BAT. Other mentees, disciples and beneficiaries of Asiwaju of the Universe must team up, muster strong forces and throw the allied weights behind the extraordinaire and legendary figure of all times, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On behalf of myself, TLF executives and members, at home and in diasporas, unequivocally, we reiterate it that we reject it in totality, the recent outburst posited against our highly revered Royal Father, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi by some leaders in Yorubaland. Many Yoruba monarchs have taken courageous steps to endorse Asiwaju Tinubu’s aspiration, even, openly.
Arole Oduduwa’s recent open declaration of support for BAT has reproved Yorubas as born philosopher-kings who know what they want and how to courageously actualise it. Yorubas are wiser now, more than ever before, so, no one can instigate us against our Nigerian Messiah, Asiwaju Tinubu as they have done, un thé past, against our past Yoruba heroes like Great Awo and Bashorun MKO. Thanks to Ooni Adeyeye, our TLF royal patron and the true incarnate of Oduduwa who upholds Yoruba land and nation, always.
LIKE OONI ADEYEYE, LIKE PREVIOUS GREAT OONIS.
Previous Onis were Awo’s fanatical supporters. Late Oba Sir Adesoji Aderemi remains one of the best kings Yoruba race ever had in pre and post-independence era of Nigeria. He was the governor general of western region between 1960 to 1962, and one of the pillars of supports for Action Group, Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s party and hardline supporter of the legendary figure of all times.
In similar manner, late Kabiesi, Oba Okuade Sijuade, the immediate predecessor to the current Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi worked in Nigeria Tribune as a young buddy for two years, directly, under late Chief Obafemi Awolowo as a mentor and a beneficial relationship was established between the duo that spanned their entire lifetimes. Late Ooni Oba Sijuade said he was encouraged to contest for the stool of Oni of Ife following the demise of Oba Aderemi by late political pundit, Baba Awolowo, in 1980. He firstly, rejected the piece of advice from this Yoruba political titan on the ground that he was very prosperous and making good waves in the United Kingdom but Chief Awolowo insisted that he must come back home to ascend the throne of his forebears.
The two previous Onis of Ife had never hid their love and support for ‘THE GREAT AWO’ and his progressive party during Awo’s life time. The recent criticism of Ooni, Oba Ogunwusi by some Yoruba leaders is malicious and has to do with indifference for Tinubu, their own kinsman.
Yoruba leaders must shun politics of bitterness and acrimony. Let’s promote politics of love, oneness, unity and progress.
SUMMARY
The present Adimula of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II, is a leading light for entire Yoruba race, at home and in diasporas. Our great King of Yoruba tribe has spoken from his divine wisdom and inspirations. It is left for Yoruba people and entire Nigerians to make good decision. One of the people criticizing our Kabiesi today, has a record in history for hindering late Chief Jeremiah Awolowo from achieving his greatest dream on earth. They did similar thing to MKO. They said Chief MKO Abiola was not our Messiah during the June 12 struggle. These are some of the unspeakable evils they did to Yoruba race in the past.
Your Majesty, sir, you have our full solidarity supports on this. You have posited well and you have given good direction to Yoruba race. Kabiesi, sir, please, leave the elders who have chosen to follow the ways of hatred and retrogression to their consciences, of course, we will all stand before ‘Olodumare” to give full accounts of our deeds on mother earth, in the hereafter.
No amount of hatred and plots can stop what God has decreed for his creatures, so, we believe that God Almighty that will use Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bless us, Nigeria as a nation, come 2023.
Conclusively, let’s shun needless enmity and pull him down politics. Let’s join hands together to fix Nigeria. Let’s support the best man for the job, BAT.
“Nigeria of our dream is achievable and Asiwaju Bola Ammed Tinubu is the answer, comes 2023. So, let’s go there, victoriously.
Yours progressively,
Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem,
Chairman,
Board of Trustees(BoT),
Tinubu Legacy Forum(TLF).”
