Onward Together: Let Our Congress Show The Opposition The Strength in Our Unity | By Hon Bimbo Kolade
My dear leaders, elders, stakeholders, youths, women, and the entire teeming members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), across Oyo Central Senatorial District and Oyo State; as we prepare for tomorrow’s Ward Congress of our great party across Nigeria, I bring you warm greetings and a message of solidarity, encouragement, and unity.
While aligning with the decision of the National Leadership of our party to adopt the consensus option in the selection of Ward Executives-a decision aimed at strengthening internal democracy, deepening inclusion, and preserving the stability of our party structure at the grassroots. It is therefore important that we approach this exercise with maturity, understanding, and unwavering commitment to the larger interest of the APC.
I appeal to every member across all wards in Oyo Central and across Oyo State to conduct ourselves peacefully and responsibly throughout the congress. Let us remember that we are one family under the same progressive banner.
Differences in opinion are natural in politics, but they must never override our shared vision and collective destiny. This is a time for brotherliness, calm engagement, mutual respect, and unity of purpose. No ambition is greater than the survival, strength, and victory of our party.
The APC remains our common platform for development, service, and progress for our people. Let us avoid unnecessary tensions, and embrace the spirit of consensus in good faith.
Let tomorrow’s exercise reflect our discipline, cohesion, and readiness to build a stronger party structure from the ward level upward.
Together, we will emerge stronger. Together, we will continue to move Oyo Central and Oyo state forward. Together, we will uphold the progressive ideals that bind us.
May peace prevail in all our wards.
