OSSCE-ILA: NASU Chair Hails Osun Assembly, Congratulates College Mgt, Advises Against Unprofessionalism.

Chairman, Non-Academics Staff Union(NASU) of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun has commended The State Assembly for being unbiased umpire and taking objective stand by exonerating OSSCE-Ila bursar from allegations of fraud. NASU also congratulated the college management and advised against unprofessionalism

“The recent reports of findings by the Osun State House of Assembly and the College Governing Council on the purported indictment of the College Bursar, Dr. Rasheed Olarenwaju in the Audit Report submitted to the lawmakers by the State Auditor General, have apparently deconstructed the palpable lies making the round on the alleged theft of over N400Million in the College”, Chairman, NASU-OSSCE, ILA, Comrade Arinla Saliu A stated.

“The exoneration came as a soothing balm to calm the frayed nerves and lower the adrenaline that would have stirred up the anger against the innocent. The Osun State House of Assembly and the College Governing Council under the leadership of Dr. George Olayinka Owolabi deserve a pat on their backs for the insightful and meticulous investigations to put the records straight.

“Our Union on this note congratulates the College Management and all well meaning members of Staff on this redemption of College’s image which has come under ridicule and mockery due to unethical conduct deployed into professionalism by the supposed financial checker whose primary function is to undertake audits of all income and expenditures without any bias. We commend the College Bursar for his professional thoughtfulness and resourcefulness in salvaging the College from the financial doldrums in the face of hostility, recrimination and vengefulness in high places.

“The Osun State Government is advised to apply stiffer sanctions against any public servant(s) found culpable, derelict or complicit in the discharge of their official responsibilities to the State.

“We appreciate all genuine efforts across the State and beyond to ensure the devilish intentions of the unscrupulous elements who, working in cahoots with outsiders to return the College to the era of financial recklessness failed woefully.” Arinla Saliu submitted.
