The chatter in the political circle of Osun state has it that Senator Ajibola Basiru, the new National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is primed to play a prominent role in the reconciliation of former Governors, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Opera News reported.
The quarrel between the duo denied Osun APC a second term and handed the state to the rival People’s Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, After he exited office as Minister, Ogbeni Aregbesola who insisted he didn’t offend anyone openly sought forgiveness from all those who felt offended by his actions, reactions and inactions.
Ogbeni Aregbesola also declared interest in unifying all APC caucuses in the state to make the party more formidable ahead of the next Osun gubernatorial and 2027 general elections.
