Otunba Dropped His Ambition for Mine In 2019 – Adelabu Mourns Alao-Akala, Describes His Demise As Great Loss to APC, Oyo State.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu has described the death of the former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala as a colossal loss.

The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Adelabu stated this in a condolence message released to journalists by one of his media aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro.

Chief Adelabu maintained that the death of Governor Alao Akala will no doubt create a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

“I received the news of the demise of Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala with rude shock. It’s very difficult to believe but death is inevitable. It is a monumental loss to the good people of Oyo State and the wonderful people of Ogbomosho, in particular. I will forever be grateful to the former governor who considered me worthy enough to drop his second term gubernatorial ambition for mine in the build-up to the 2019 general elections. He was a father figure and always ready to offer wise counsel as a party leader”.

“Without mincing word, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala had contributed greatly to the development of Oyo state and to the unity and governance of Nigeria. He was a complete grassroot politician and remains a political Icon. We will all miss him”, Adelabu added.

According to him, the people of Oyo state can not forget the era of Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala which was a government and governance for all.

The 2019 APC Governorship Candidate directed that all political activities at Adelabu Political Headquarters should be suspended to honour the former Governor and Chieftain of APC for the next seven days. This is to mourn his demise, reflect on his life and times, and celebrate the good works he did when alive.

Chief Adelabu prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family and people of Ogbomoso land the fortitude to bear the loss.
