Oyetola, Famuyibo, Jide Awe, Yoruba Youths, Others Grace Otunba JMK Mother’s Funeral in Ilase – Ijesha
Prominent personalities across all walks of life have graced Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede, JMK, Mother’s Funeral in Ilase – Ijesha, in Osun State.
While speaking, One of the prominent people in attendance and President General of Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, Comrade AWA Bamiji stated that, “Amidst our very tight schedule, we, the notable members of the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths across the states, decided to honour One of our Progressive Leaders in Yorubaland, the Prominent and unsung Hero of Democracy in Nigeria, whose beautiful Mansion in America was blown up by the unknown criminals suspected to be acting on instruction of the Late Gen. Sanni Abacha in 1996 because this House was believed to be a thorn in the flesh of the successful Juntas in Nigeria for being a regular Venue of the meeting for the key members of NADECO Abroad, including Prof Wole Soyinka, Gen. Alani Akinrinade (Rtd), Late Chief Anthony Enahoro, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among others, who were collectively pushing for the deannulment of the June 12, 1993 Presidential Election which was won landslide by the Late Bashorun Mashood Kashinmawo Olawale Abiola but was criminally annulled by the Late military President Ibrahim Babangida led Junta; Our Baby faced International Activist doubles as a Symbol of self – determination in Yorubaland for being one of the leading figure of Egbe Omo Yoruba in the North America, Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede, popularly known as JMK.
“He and Comrade Olawale Okunniyi were with the Late Baba Omojola in Akure, Ondo State, during the first Consultative meeting of the Senator Femi Okurounmu led Committee with the Public on the 2014 National Conference, where Baba Omojola gave up his soul”, AWA said.
”He contested for Osun Governorship Primary Elections in 2003 and 2007 under the Alliance for Democracy and Action Congress respectively but was each time appealed to, alongside few others, to step down in the interest of peace for the Parties’ preferred Candidates.
“He was later compensated with the membership of Odu’a Investment Company from Osun State by the immediate past Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
“He was later moved to Nigerite Plc, a Subsidiary of Odu’a Investment and this his present position, apart from being the APC Leader from Obokun.
“Therefore, it is not a surprise that the burial ceremony of his caring mother, Late Comfort Titilade Ogunkeyede, 109, today, Saturday, 7th August, 2021, witnessed the quantitative and qualitative attendance of Governor Gboyetola Oyetola of Osun State, his Deputy, Mr Benedict Okugboyega Alabi; Secretary to the State Government, Mr Wole Oyebamiji and almost the entire members of the Cabinet members accompanied the Executive Governor”, AWA Bamiji reported.

“On his Arrival from his Late Mummy Graveyard side, Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede was full of joy in sighting the huge crowd at the Venue and was first welcomed by Comrade AWA Bamiji, the Executive President, Bola Ige Centre for Justice, who was on ground with other notable members of the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, like a popular Radio Presenter in Ibadan, Adesokan Kazeem, who doubles as one of the MC’s of the Day alongside Ade Omoade; Otunba Babatunde Adeoye, the Publisher, Westernlife online Newspaper among other respected members. The pictures speak volume about this august gathering that includes these four gentlemen and other notable attendees.
“Governor Gboyega Oyetola appreciated the good turnout at the event and predicted that the number of people in attendance was enough to make the APC wins any subsequent elections in that Ward 4 compared with their woeful performance in the past.
“He therefore called on his numerous loyalists to start reaching out immediately to the party members who were aggrieved particularly as a result of the last Saturday Ward Congresses. He reiterated his commitment to fairness, justice, unity and total reconciliation among the party members ahead of Osun 2022.
