Dr Moshood Abioye, a renowned international scholar hailed from Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo-State has congratulated Engr Seyi Makinde over his re-election victory as the governor of the state.
In his words, The notable and young philanthropist, Dr Abioye said,” ‘Success is not final, failure is not fatal; It is the courage to continue that counts’.
In every context, there must always be a winner and a loser. Also, sometime, you lose some, at another time you win others.
“Last Saturday governorship election was not different. We(APC) lost the governorship election after winning the previous week Presidential election and all the three senatorial seats in Oyo state.
“This tells me that the winners of today have been losers before and the losers of today have been winners before.
It is only God who crowns Kings and Princes and it is only God who rules in the affairs of men. God has ruled since the official announcement by Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) that Engr Seyi Makinde is our governor for another four years. Therefore, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for the victory at the poll and for the mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Oyo state.
“Thus trust is sacred. I pray that God will enable our governor to further live up to the expectations of the people of Oyo state. ‘Ise rere ko gbodo duro’.
“For the most of us, what is paramount now is for a better Oyo state of our dream. Therefore, let’s join hands with the government to take Oyo state to greater heights. Once again, congratulations, Your Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.
Dr Abioye also saluted Senator Teslim Folarin’s courage and spirit of sportsmanship. He prayed for the former Senate Leader and wished him well in his endeavours.
