Oyo 2027: My Good People of Oke-Ogun, I Promise Better Treatment for This Great Region if Elected Governor – Adelabu

Segun Showunmi, Ibadan
The Minister for Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has promised the Oke-Ogun geopolitical zone of Oyo State better treatment if given a ticket as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and eventually wins as the governor of the state.
He said Oke-Ogun shouldn’t be suffering, considering its vast arable agricultural land and tourist attraction centres in the zone.

Speaking in Iseyin while addressing APC leaders and stakeholders during his consultation in Oke-Ogun zone 1 of the state, Adelabu said he will give priority to Oke-Ogun and make it the food basket of the nation if given the chance to be the governor.

According to him, needed attention will be given to the zone, and the zone will not be sidelined from his administration.
He said, “Ado Awaye, the only suspended lake in the world, will be fully utilised as a tourist attraction centre which can serve as a source of revenue for the zone and Oyo State at large.
“We shall invest more in Aso Oke production and make it widely accepted. Roads across this zone shall be looked into so as to make it easier for farmers to transport their farm produce to town.
“We shall have more farm settlements and processing factories because there is no major farm settlement in Oke-Ogun.
In his remarks, former chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande, described the deliberation as impressive because members and leaders of the party from four local governments of the zone were in attendance.
“Adelabu told us about his ambition and seekingunity for the party. People are very happy with the meeting. We are confident that by God’s grace, APC will take over Oyo State come 2027.
“There is always one winner; our analyses showed that APC is a popular party in Oyo State, going by previous elections. Each time we have division in the party, it paves the way for the opposition party to win, but we are now united and confident that APC will take over Oyo State in 2027.”
APC leaders at the meeting include Hon. Azuzu Azeez, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Pa Goke Oyettunji, Pastor Olayode, Pa J. O. Adesokan, Hon. Kola Olabiyi, Hon. Arikewuyo, Hon. Osuolale, Hon. Sunday Folorunso Ogungbenro, Hon. Salam Fatai, Hon. Abolade, Hon. John Olalere, and Hon. Azeez Musbau (Action), Hon. Akin Adeyemo, and Hon. Dele Akinleye.
