Oyo: ALGON, Councillors Forum Visit Senatorial Hopeful, Faozey, Appreciate His Supports over S’Court Verdict.

Some members of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON), and Councillors’ Forum, in Oyo-State, have paid a leading Oyo Central Senatorial Hopeful, Hon. Faozey Oladorun Nurudeen(FON) thank you visit over his solidarity supports towards the victory recorded by the association at the Supreme Court.

Africano Trumpeters Newspaper recalled that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo-State had illegally sacked the then duly elected Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) upon assuming the office on May 29, 2019. But their mandate was upheld on Friday, May 7, 2031 by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

During the two days events, which were held at Faozey’s Campaign office in Oyo town, the former 23 local council bosses and 507 councillors across the state, in attendance, lauded Faozey on behalf of their respective associations.

Faozey thanked the leaderships for their respective visits and he used the avenue to donate of the sum of N1Million to the forum, empowered 223 councillors from Oyo Central Senatorial District and gifted out one Hajj slot to one of the councillors, Mr Oyeleke Yunusa Adekunle.

ALGON delegate led by Chief Bosun Ajuwon and NCFN led by Hon. Adesoji Adesola expressed their associations’ appreciations to Faozey and charged him to remain committed to the progress of the party.

“We really appreciate your unwaivering supports towards our struggles, especially, during the most difficult time and which eventually led to the victory at the Supreme Court. This is a lifelong support that can’t be forgotten in a hurry, thank you The Distinguished”, they said.

While responding, Hon. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen assured the councillors of his continual supports and he urged them to remain steadfast in the course of progressivism.

“APC will take back Agodi seat come 2023. I’m very confident, and with our collective efforts, victory is certain”, Faozey stated.

Faozey shared his success story with the councillors and gave them a ray of hope that achieving success, through commitments and persistence, is possible.
