Oyo ALGON to Makinde: You’re Symbol of Double Standard on Legal Matters

Prince Ayodeji Abass-Alesinloye, the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government who also doubles as ALGON Chairman of Oyo State has said on behalf of all democratically elected and legally recognized council officials in Oyo-State that no amount of intimidation and tyranny would make them to stop defending their mandates and respecting “Rule of Law”.

He said, “PDP government in Oyo State is a symbol of double standard on legal matters with their guts to call an extant judgement an “arrangee” judgment and rode on the crest of that criminal statement on May 29, 2019 to politically attack the democratically elected council officials by the then yet to be sworn in Chief of Staff, Oloye Bisi Ilaka .

They went to a state high court to get injunction for the the act that has already taken place and to override judicial decision of supreme court which affirms it and makes it criminally illegal that no Governor, including Engr Seyi Makinde has prerogative power to truncate sacred mandates freely given by the electorates of third tier of government, Local Government Administration in Nigeria.

I don’t know why they are just jittery and behaving so illegally.

“Yes, all of us, the democratically elected and legally recognized council officials have access to our offices; We have been resuming to our respective offices since Friday, throughout Oyo State we have been carrying out our duties without hindrances, except in the Ibadan North and North-East where fully armed PDP thugs wielding dangerous weapons prevented our people and all efforts are being put in place to address the criminal and violent actions.

Aleshinloye thanks peace-loving people of Oyo State and advise Oyo PDP to change their ways of disrespecting rule of law and fomenting troubles.
