Oyo APC And Divine Intervention !! By Barr Waheed O. Lawal.

Opinion:

Agreed that faith alone without work is dead and prayers without action are empty noises.
Reasons that we have to combine the two. As we go on to organise the party and mobilise for the victory of the party come 2023, we have to back our works with prayers.

I’m yet to be aware of any conscious and deliberate efforts of the party leadership in this regard.
In choosing our flag bearer from arrays of the first class governorship materials we parade in Oyo APC, we must constantly seek the face of the Lord, to assist us by choosing for us and may our wishes tally with His divine will.

Having said that, we must be very circumspect about our choice in 2023.

For the sake of guidance from my little knowledge and spiritual guidance, I wish to advise us against the following aspirants:

1. Aspirant(s) that is/are at war with party leaders and fellow aspirants. If party leaders could be more liberal and patient, the aspirants will either gang up against him or refuse to work for him if he later get the ticket.
2. If there is an aspirant that the ruling party is praying for his emergence and may take to the streets in jubilation for his victory at the primaries, then such a candidate is a failure. Do you know that sometimes an aspirant emerges as a candidate to fly the party’s flag and the opposition goes sorrowful . They grief and mourn as if the patriarch of their family or philanthropist of their community is dead.
3. Avoid controversial candidate. You will spend more time defending than marketing him. Any person with a political albatross is not good for APC in 2023.
4. I am neither a clairvoyant or a prophet but at least my relationship with Allah is not so bad that I’m deprived of light or guidance about likely successful candidate. It has happened on many occasions in the past, although, I was heedless. I have people who could bear me witness that I predicted on my Facebook page the victory of Governor Makinde at the 2019 poll as far back as the night late Governor Ajimobi was declared as the winner of the 2015 poll.
5. When a case lacks merit and incurably bad, the next thing is to pray and capitalise on the mistake of your opponent. The case of our opponent is bad. Their house is partially demolished, it’s just a matter of months for the whole roofs and wall to kiss the ground. Their prayer is that APC should make a costly mistake of picking the candidate they want. They are busy doing prayer on us and we are sleeping. Their prayers are not out of love or genuine concern for our progress and victory but for their own walk over victory, technical victory.

The above advice is for the party leaders to make judicious use of it. Meanwhile, there is nothing bad if loyal party members remind and urge the party leaders to be proactive, please.
