Oyo APC Congress Illegal – Says Adeduntan – Meets Fijabi, Opaleye, Others At LG Meeting.
The 2023 Oyo State Governorship aspirant and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Chief(Dr.) Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has reassured members of the party and his supporters to remain calm in the face of what he described as unpleasant happenings in the party, APC.
Chief Dr. Adeduntan, who is the Osi Basorun of Ibadan Land and Villages, gave this reassurance at the local government meeting of Ibadan South West, on Monday.
Chief Adeduntan, frontline 2023 Oyo state Governorship Hopeful, Fijabi, Opaleye and others were at local government meeting.
At the meeting held were also former Council chairmen Gbenga Opaleye and Yomi Adefusi, former federal legislator Saheed Fijabi among other party leaders.
The arrival of Chief Dr. Adeduntan to the venue was greeted with loud ovation and song by hundreds of party members.
Various songs including “Popoola Omo Akajewole Omo Adeduntan Osi Basorun rented the air in excitement of his arrival.”
In his comment, international cardiovascular surgeon, Adeduntan reaffirmed his belief that the October 30th congress meeting in Oyo State was an illegality and the end result, which is the purported emergence of executive is void, as you cannot build something on nothing.
On the way forward, he listed among other solutions, that there is a need for harmonisation of ward and local government executives, immediately, to allow peace to reign in Oyo APC.
He concluded that he will not, this time, allow himself to be rubbished by any mortal, as all options are already on the table.
