The Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo-State, Chief Akin Oke has charged the Chairman and members of the “Special Finance and Budget Committee” of the party, in the state, to come up with holistic financial models and formulae to raise fund for the forthcoming congresses. According to Oke, the fund raised will cater for many things and also ease the burden of forms’ purchase by the intending party executives, from ward level to the local government stratum, ahead of the forthcoming exercise.

Chief Oke made this call during a stakeholders meeting earlier held today with the committee’s chairman, Hon. Dokun Odebunmi Bunvic in attendance at his Oluyole residence.

Bunvic stated that the committee will meet soon and later present a formal financial position of the activities to the party.

It will be recalled that Oyo state APC had in February this year set up several committees, including the finance and budget committee ahead of the party membership and revalidation exercise. The finance committee is headed by the Federal Lawmaker representing Ogo-Oluwa /Surulere Federal constituency, Hon. Bunvic. Other members of the committee are Professor Adeolu Akande, Mr. Zacchaeus Adelabu, Hon. Bimbo Kolade, Hon. Tolulope Sadipe, Hon. Wumi Oladeji, and Barrister ‘Lowo Obisesan as the secretary.

The scope of the assignment of the committee has now been extended to covering fund raising, from all party stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming congresses in the state.
