Oyo APC: Ibadan Northwest Leaders Meet, Make Resolution to Stay in “Progressive Party”, Throw Weight Behind Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential Agenda

IBADAN NORTH-WEST LEADERS RESOLVED TO STAY IN APC HOLDING PARALLEL MEETING UNTIL INTERNAL DEMOCRACY IS RESPECTED IN OYO STATE.

Nine of the 13 leaders of Ibadan North- West Local Government had reiterated commitment to the principles of All Progressive Congress APC in a meeting held on Tuesday July 14, 2022.

The leaders while urging all members of the party to remain resolute in their commitment and loyalty to the leadership and the party, they leaders unanimously agreed that no one will move out of APC as a result of the chequered activities of the recent primaries with dent of what they described as “Jagbaism”.

This decision is as a result of the overwhelming success of the National Primaries that produced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s Presidential flagbearer at a well-coordinated National Convention, held in Abuja, recently.

The leaders stated that democracy can only thrive if and only if democratic processes are purely democratic and they declared that they will continue holding parallel meetings at the ward and local government levels to counter what they tagged as “the concoctions of jagba” that selected few until all democratic processes are repaired to conform to normalcy.

The leaders in rolling out their decisions to the members stated as follows

  1. That Ibadan North West Leaders under the Chairmanship of Alh Adewolu Muili Oluokun ( One of the foremost Awoists) strongly belief in the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and resolved to follow it up till success is achieved to ASO ROCK.
  2. That all the 9 leaders in the Local Government shall continue to remain in APC.
  3. That all Executives at the ward and local Government levels democratically elected in
    accordance with the Constitution of the Party shall continue to hold their meetings with no
    regard to ‘unconstitutional concoctions of the jagba syndrome’.
  4. That all members should eschew any form of thuggery or brigandage.

  6. Hon Oladipupo Able ( Immediate House of Assembly Member)
  7. Alh Remi Sodiq (Immediate Past APC Chairman in the L.G.)
  8. Alh Kunle Kadri ( Immediate Vice Chairman of the Local Government and newly elected
    Chairman)
