Oyo APC Lawmaker’s Sweeping Statements On Adelabu; A Plastic-Bullet Comment !! By Isiaka Kehinde.
Our attention has been drawn to an on -line news medium with the banana headline ” Oyo APC lawmaker blasts Adelabu “. We could have played oblivion and not dignify the lawmaker with a response, but for the sake enlightening him to make him well formed and better informed.
The lawmaker, Isiaka Kazeem,representing Oyo East and West, threw caution into the winds, by insinuating that Oloye Adelabu Adebayo, a chieftain of APC wants to minify the party and keep it for his own end. This is not only hogwash but it besmirk the reputation of Oloye Adelabu, who has been contributing immensely without respite, to keep the party on a sound footing.
The lawmaker in question in his own wisdom or lack of it referred to Oloye Adelabu as a political neophyte,Who was hitherto unknown within the political circle. He should be tutored that being a great leader is not taught in politics, leadership is inborn and is more glaring when one puts his wealth of experience to bear . Even in developed democracies, emphasis is placed more on leadership competence and ennobling values than time when one joins politics.
Even, during the time of the 59th president of America, president George Washington in 1788, he bestrode American politics like a colossus and made his mark without political experience but expertise.
Obviously! throwing political tantrums does not eclipse Adelabu’s soaring reputation like Ted Williams, who a reporter says “hate seems to activate his reflexes like adrenaline and stimulates his heart”. The impertinence can only fuel his passion for development the more. He is not at all swayed!
Politics is a game of interest and the Ibadan born chief sees the present crisis within the party as a way to strengthen it and make it better like a resuscitated phoenix, he would therefore not engage anyone in a slanging match.
The unsubstantiated report whirling around that Adelabu may team up with the opposition party is an arrant nonsense from the pit of hell which is only a figment of imagination of the peddler. Anyway, Oloye Adelabu is a philosopher king , the great compliment you can pay him is criticism, but it has to be constructive.
Its quite worrisome that the said lawmaker now approbates and reprobates at the same time. This could mean, either his camp has been thrown off balance by Adelabu s political moves( check law 3 of “33 strategies of war” by Robert Green,or he is in overdrive to score political recognition, a mere courtiership.
Chief Adelabu Adebayo is a team player and his intention to contest under the party will not reduce his respect and love to whoever aspire to slug out with him in the primary election of the party, no matter the person’s political wing.
Therefore, we should be playing value politics that is issue- based and not trying to rewrite political history or bend it to our advantage by bringing others down . The lawmaker should buck up, the game is not over…
