Oyo APC : Niyi Akintola Attends Stakeholders Meeting, Sues for Peace, Fosters Unity .
Legal luminary and a leader of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo state, Chief Adeniyi Akintola(SAN) has attended a stakeholders meeting at Premier Hotel in Ibadan today where one of the aggrieved sections within the APC decided to bury their hatchets and embrace peace.
Baamofin of Ibadan Land, Akintola opined at the event that factionalisation will only mar the party. He appealed to the returnees and everybody to emulate him and many other staunch progressives by staying “PROGRESSIVE”.
“No other label is as positive as being progressive”, Akintola reiterated.
“The rain, the sun and the storm will come but the real progressives will still be found standing because service to the people as opposed to selfishness is their mantle and that is evidenced in their developmental programmes and activities for the people”, the learned silk , Niyi Akintola maintained.
In attendance were leaders and members of the progressives, including, the faction that pulled out of the party prior the last 2019 general election and other peace loving members of Oyo APC.
Measures were taken to assuage the issues raised by the group at all inclusive APC stakeholders meeting in Abuja and the leaders at the event gave feedbacks to the members .
