Oyo APC : Ogbomoso North LG Condemns Party Division , Passes Vote of Confidence on Akin Oke .

” OYO STATE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS, OGBOMOSO NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAPTER DISSOCIATES ITSELF FROM THE ACTIVITIES OF THE FACELESS GROUP AND PASSES A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON CHIEF AKIN OKE AS THE STATE CHAIRMANOF THE PARTY.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ogbomoso North Local Government, Oyo state hereby dissociates itself from the paid announcement sponsored by an unknown group on Ajilete and Parrot FMs respectively, wherein they attacked the personality of our State Chairman; Chief Akin Oke and promoting an individual as the leader of our great party in the state.
To set the records straight, Chief Akin Oke remains the State Chairman of our party until 2022 when his tenure together with that of the other Executive Committee Members will lapse. And until then, we are solidly behind him for the mature way he has been piloting the affairs of our great Party in the State.
We also reiterate by way of reminder, that the leadership of our party is not by appointment and/or selection by a few people hijacking the democratic process, but that a leader emerges by his track record seconded by unanimous consensus of all and sundry constituting the democratic majority after confirming that;
• The integrity of the would be leader is not of dubious character
• The person is consistent in the Party as against being a serial defector
• The person is of absolute loyalty to the Party and that he is not a self-centered person and that
• The person has been generally accepted by all and sundry constituting the democratic majority and not by a sectional appointment.
We therefore warn the faceless group fanning the embers of discord in our party in Ogbomoso North Local Government in particular and Oyo State in general, to desist from same, as it is only God that giveth power to whosoever he pleases.
Finally, we once again re-echo our absolute support and pass a vote of confidence on Chief Akin Oke as the Chairman of Party in the State and further pledge our absolute loyalty to our great Party.
