Oyo APC: They’re Self Acclaimed, Biased, Unfaithful – Ibadan Southeast Stakeholders Carpet State Elders Advisory Council, Reject “Their” Harmonization C’tee.
Elders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Ibadan Southeast Local Government Area of Oyo-State has carpeted its state chapter’s elders advisory council and described the council members as self acclaimed, biased and unfaithful.
The local government APC leaders also rejected harmonization committee put in place by the state elders advisory council.
RESOLUTION OF ELDERS /STAKEHOLDERS MEETING OF IBADAN SOUTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT DATED 12 DAY OF APRIL, 2022.
Our attention has been drawn to a communique issued by a self acclaimed Oyo State Elders advisory council which was jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun and Dr Isiaka Kolawole respectively wherein they requested for the two sides in the party to nominate members into the 132 -man-ward-local and 6 man state harmonisation committee.
We the entire Elders/Stakeholders for the progressives in Ibadan South East Local Government hereby resolved as follows :
- That the self acclaimed Elders Advisory Committee does not have moral and legal authority to constitute a true reconciliation committee in that the said committee is biased , unfaithful and partisan ab initio .
2 That the only legitimate and recognised body that is generally acceptable to all party members in the state is the 7 Zonal leaders together with the 2 former deputy governors and former acting State Chairman .
3 That the call for nomination from two sides in the party lacks equity, justice and fairplay as there exists various formidable tendencies to include Chief Adebayo Adelabu , Engr. Olasunkanmi Tegbe, Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN , Barr. Akeem Agbaje , Unity group, Adeolu Akande , Hon Sunday Dare , Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle , Teslim Folarin group among others .
4 That the so called Elders Advisory Committee had earlier pinched it’s tent with Akala/Teslim Folarin camp and as such we firmly hold that you can not be a judge in your own case .
- That there can not be true reconciliation without prior consultation and consent of major Stakeholders /gladiators in the party .
6 . That we urge the self acclaimed Elders Advisory Committee to earnestly proscribe itself without further delay and allow the National Working ommittee that is free from bias, manipulation and deceit .
