Oyo APC: This Is An Exercise In Futility – Barr Niyi Akintola ‘SAN’ Tackles Omodewu over Inauguration of State, LG Party Excos.
Chief Adeniyi Akintola, a prominent legal luminary and frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo state, has stated unequivocally that the innaguration of APC state executive council and local government by Hon Isaac Omodewu is an exercise in futility, nationalinsightnews.com reported.
Akintola who strongly disassociated himself from such an illegal act, maintained that one can not place something on nothing.
According to the influential figure in Oyo APC,” Isaac Omodewu who purportedly received his certificate of return as the party chairman in the state sometime last week at the national secretariat failed, refused and or neglected to wait for the harmonized state executive council list from the headquarter, as well as the wards and local governments’ lists for the state before he hurriedly sworn-in his stooges via the unilateral directive of his principal.
Akintola described the act as self serving, self-fulfilling and self aggrandisement against the general interests of the teeming supporters of APC in the state.
The Aare Baamofin of Ibadan land and scion of the legendary Balogun Ibikunle, Akintola further described the inauguration as illegal and a nullity. He urged the national headquarter to urgently restrain Omodewu from further anti commonsensical acts that can undermine the chances of the party to return to Agodi house, come 2023.
The former Deputy Speaker of Oyo-State House of Assembly(APC), Akintola encouraged party faithful to remain calm, peaceful and resolute that all will be well in no distant time.
