Oyo: “APC Youth League” Sues for Peace, Advises Party Leaders to Unite Ahead of State Congress.

All Progressives Congress(APC) Youth League, Oyo State, chapter has urged leaders of the party in the state to remain peaceful and united. The group maintained that the leaders should shun any act of violence, to regain the lost glory of the party, in state,

At their emergency meeting held yesterday, the group stated that;

“It’s no longer a news that Oyo State APC Elders Council set up a zoning committee that will look into zoning party positions across the state, ahead of the incoming state Congress. This has led to conflict within the party and we hope it will, soon, be resolved.

In his address during the meeting, the state Coordinator of the Forum, Bashorun Soliu Lawal reflected on what made the party to loose 2019 gubernatorial election to the ruling People’s Democratic Party(PDP) and advised the leaders to unite, in order to avoid similar scenario of 2019.

“The party lost election due to disunity among the leaders and this paved way for the opposition party to take over the governance but it’s high time for us, now, to regain our lost glory and get Oyo State indigenes out of incompetent governance of PDP”, Lawal reiterated.

“APC has all it requires to take over Oyo State in 2023. The momentum and unity we are having within the party should be an indication that the party is back to its full capacity.

“Don’t let’s disappoint people that have defected to APC from different parties, with the belief that it’s the only party that has good to offer for the good people of Oyo State, therefore we need ‘Unity, Peace and Tranquility’ for the betterment, progress and development of our dear party.

“Conclusively, The APC stands a good chance to reclaim her lost glory from the lackluster government of GSM, therefore, we need to work as a team regardless of any tendency we belong to, in order to get reclaim our victory, because together, we can through our collective efforts”, Bashorun Soliu Lawal.
