Oyo APC: You’ve Demonstrated Commitment to Building A United Party – Sports Minister, Sunday Dare Lauds CECPC Chair, Gov Buni.
Youth and Sports Minister, Dr Sunday Akin Dare has lauded the All Progressives Congress, APC, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee Chairman(CECPC), His Excellency, Gov. Mai Mala Buni for fostering internal democracy, within the party, in Oyo state.
Africano Trumpeters Newspaper recalled that, the party, APC, in the state has been battling with different challenges after the controversial congress held last Saturday, October 30th, where many stakeholders disagreed on the modalities of the congress, and based on other allegations.
In order to find amicable resolution to the lingering crisis, Youth and Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, has met with the national caretaker chairman of the party in Abuja and discussed the development. Dare lauded Gov. Buni for being committed and tenacious on putting in place, a united and formidable APC structure in the state.
In Sports Minister, Dare’s words;“I thank the APC National Chairman, Governor Mala Buni for the opportunity he gave me to have a meeting with him today in Abuja to discuss the October 30th Oyo APC Congress. Most importantly , I thank him for being firm about his directive that November 6th was the date for Oyo Congress. That at no time was October 30th approved by him for the APC Congress to hold. With the chairman of the Congress Committee present, he directed that November 6th be respected and stakeholders meet on Thursday to agree on a consensus list. The National Chairman has demonstrated his commitment to party principles and building a strong and united party.
