Oyo Central 2023: Competence, Loyalty, Persistence Should Be Considered !! By Adewale Adebambo.
As the time ticks for political parties to present flag bearers ahead of the 2023 general elections, it is pertinent for certain factors to be considered by delegates and true party men in choosing candidates – Loyalty.
This is a true virtue of Bimbo Kolade; a one time commissioner under the administration of His Excellency, Late Abiola Ajimobi of blessed memory who has served in various capacities, has remain steadfast as a core progressive and remain with the party in time past despite not clinching the party tickets on 2 different occasions – It is time for loyalty to be rewarded.
Like President Muhammadu Buhari who contested on a number of occasions, Hon Bimbo Kolade still have his followers within the party, among the electorates who believed in him and are adherent supporters of him and the party. Giving him the mandate now will be of great advantage to the party for greater electoral victory.
Being formerly in charge of ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs as a commissioner, he had good and smooth relationships with all the Obas and other traditional rulers at all levels in Oyo state – this was evidently manifested at the 8th day inter-religious prayer of the late Alaafin of Oyo when all the Obas, Baales, chiefs present greeted him, shook hands with him and exchanged pleasantries.
To be sincere, who we need now is a person who understands the way out of decadence and distraught that have bedeviled our district. We need a Man who will raise with feasible standards which will be beneficial to people. We do don’t need a political block campaign, or a dynasty war, but a leader who has institutional memory, a man who will serve as a link between the leaders and the followers to connect all and sundry for the common good of all – A bridge builder.
My great people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, I hereby present to you an ‘EMBODIMENT OF CHARISMA’, an ‘EPITOME OF DEMOCRACY’, the ‘PERSONIFICATION OF LEADERSHIP’ and an ‘ENIGMA of PROGRESSIVENESS’; HON. BIMBO KOLADE, the most acceptable, competent and well prepared personality of them all.
