OYO CENTRAL 2023: Reward Loyalty – Group Appeals to APC Stakeholders.
Oyo Central Grassroots Movement (OCGM), has called on stakeholders and well-meaning leaders in the All Progressive Congress (APC ) in Oyo Central Senatorial District to put more premium on loyalty and competence as the parameters for choosing its candidate for the 2023 Senatorial election.
OYGM is a socio-political group which has its root in all the 11 local government areas with the agenda for APC to win the 2023 elections; and has over 5,000 youths across the 11 LGAs in Oyo Central Senatorial District.
Speaking to newsmen in Ibadan yesterday, Comrade Mutairu Adewale, who is the Head of the group, said considering the lukewarm performance of the People Democratic Party(PDP) in the last three years, if stakeholders in the APC could embark on genuine reconciliation and allow a candidate who has overwhelming support across the Senatorial District to emerge at the primaries, APC is no doubt in a good stead for winning in the senatorial race come 2023.
“It is pertinent to state without being ambiguous that one of the best and competent products Late Abiola Ajimobi has ever produced in Oyo APC’s socio-political evaluation is Hon. Bimbo Kolade.
As an erudite and workaholic Commissioner who enjoyed grace and affection from his boss, he embarked on series of programmes in the ministries he was able to oversee and which resulted in huge and unbeatable success.
Adewale said Bimbo Kolade has passed the test of loyalty not only to his boss but to the APC and his followers.
“It is worthy to note that the reward system is basically essential to drive a political party. If APC wants to achieve the goals and reflect the values in its mission statement, the reward system of the party must be considered and allowed to come into play”, Adewale stated.
