Oyo Central: Constituents Honour Dr Yunus Akintunde At “Inaugural Reception” • Senator Says New Dawn Has Come, Assures “Endless Possibilities”.

Senator representing Oyo Central District, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in the Senate, Dr Yunus Akintunde has assured his constituents of quality representation, and life changing opportunities that his legislative leadership will engender, and facilitate for the district. He urged patience and hinted that he is working, assiduously, to make sure that his campaign promises are holistically, achieved.

Akintunde who gave the assurance at his inaugural reception held at Labamba Hotel on Saturday, July 8, in ancient city of Oyo, recalled that he made a promise to the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, and vowed never to let them down.

Akintunde affirmed that the betterment of life and welfare of his people remained his utmost priority.

Dr Akintunde disclosed that the leadership of the 10th Assembly of the Nigerian Senate led by Sen Godswill Akpabio would do all it can to ensure that its periodic developmental programs get to Oyo Central Senatorial District and he reiterated it that the present leadership of the Senate would not forsake the constituents.

Senator Akintunde hailed the good people of the District for standing by him throughout the electioneering period, which he said it propelled him to victory in the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly Polls.

Paying tribute to “legendary” leaders, especially, those who helped to nurture his political career in Oyo state, Akintunde expressed appreciations to former and late governors of the state and Alaafin of Oyo, His Excellency late Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, His Excellency, late Otunba-Alao Akala and His Excellency, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III, whom he noted that they were the brains behind his uprightness within and outside his political journey.

Urging his constituents and Nigerians, generally, to be patient with the current President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Dr Akintunde assured people of a level playing ground, for all in the country. He pointed out that Mr. President is aware of the plight of the citizens and would relent until their demands are met and welfare prioritised.

Participants, who could not hide their joy, stated that they are impressed with the leadership acumen of Senator Akintunde, whom they described as a perfect gentleman with charisma of leadership calling.”We’re optimistic of a better and prosperous Oyo Central Senatorial District under Your leadership, Sir, the Distinguished.
