OYO CENTRAL: Jubilation As Alakinyele Commissions Electric Transformer Facilitated to Akinyele Communities By Yunus Akintunde • “U N US” Assures More Substantial Projects Before, After 2023 General Election(PHOTOS).

The residents of Oloro, Ekeosinu, Ajobo, and Kara had yesterday, Tuesday, January 3, turned out en masse to welcome the candidate of All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo Central Senatorial Districts, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde and other chieftains of the party to the commissioning of 300 KVA electric transformer, held at Kara market, Akinyele Ibadan LGA.

While welcoming the congregants, APC Chairman in Akinyele Local Government, Eng. Akiniyi Akinbode appreciated Alakinyele of Akinyele and Seriki Fulani of Ibadanland. He lauded all the party members that cheered the event.

In the chairman’s words,”People can now see that our party is doing fantastically well. Dr Yunus Akintunde has done many projects acrossed the state. He also did for Agidigbo FM.

The Chairman, Engr Akinbode urged the congregants to get their Permanent Voter’s Card(PVC) collected and cast their votes for Asiwaju Tinubu, Teslim Folarin, Yunus Akintunde, Lafioye Akinmoyede, Wasiu Kareem and others in in the forthcoming elections. “Without voters card we can’t vote”, he emphasized.

In his remarks, the Representative of Sarkin Fulani of Ibadanland, Alhaji Umar Jao lauded APC leadership in attendance and stated that,”I have known the party chieftains present here since early 2000. All of you have done well for this community and God will reward you, abundantly. I have already said that whoever gives us an electric transformer will be remembered. Once the people are using the electricity – the message it is passing to them is ‘don’t forget me ( the person that brought the electric transformer)’.

He furthered,”Please fulfill all your electoral promises because since we’ve cast our votes for some people we’ve not seen them again…Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe did wonderfully well when he was the chairman of this local government but politicians nowadays are not like him.

He hinted that he has been active politically for long and revealed that,”I registered members of my association for election as far back as 2002 because I don’t want politics to affect our business. That is part of the reasons that led us to this place. But if we all have an impact in this election, nobody will cause a problem. For these reasons, you have our support and God will continue to bring light to Dr Yunus Akintunde’s life”,he prayed.

The Deputy Director General of APC Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe maintained that the coast is clear for APC. In his words,”We have over 6000 polling units in this state. APC is going to come out with two-thirds. We are very good to go. We are going to win this election. Mark my word there is no way we are going to lose any senatorial districts vis-a-vis election of the federal constituencies, governorship bid and 32 House of assembly seats.

He emphasized,”We are going to win the presidential election with a landslide that we have never won before. In the previous elections, we have over 300,000 votes but we have over 3 million registered voters now. We are winning this election, by His Grace.

While commissioning the project, the Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Olayemi Ojeniran stated that,”I am happy that I, myself, and my people – both Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani Community, witnessed this landmark event. I would love to appreciate Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, Hon Joshua, Hon Ambali, Elder Akinbode, Hon Murphy Adigun and the likes for their immense contributions towards the progress of my town…My secretary, Aare Alasa, Youth leader, Bobajiro, and other community leaders accompanied me here to show their appreciations for this electric transformer donated by Dr Yunus Akintunde. Once the electricity is restored across this community, Dr Yunus would be receiving prayers from the people of this community.

He urged all the people of Akinyele and its environs to support Dr Akintunde in the coming election.”To the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind, U’N’US’ provision, installation and energization of 300 KVA 33/0.4KV Transformer for Akinyele Cattle Market, Akinyele Community, Oloro, Ekeosinu, Ajobo and other communities is commissioned today Jan 3, 2023.

While addressing the press, the Senatorial Candidate of APC in Oyo Central, Dr Akintunde stated that,”I’m extremely happy that God chose to use me for the people to have this opportunity. I want to tell you that I’m not feeling extra in any way, whether we do it for them or not, God will do it for them. God will use someone to achieve it. I’m happy that God used us for them to bring this facility here. We have to be modest.

Akintunde assured,”People should expect good governance, and good representation. We have been doing that. Today someone mentioned to you that this is the 64th project. I never counted it in my life. I wrote something to the community and I assured them that before the election, something good is still coming. We have an entire plan and I’m sure before the election if anybody borders to count, it must be up to hundred. If I can provide this before my election, it is an assurance that people will get a better representation from me. So, I’m sure people will elect us.

“Oyo Central is the pot of APC. Even, at the last election, we won all the five representatives seat, most of House of Assembly seats, and we won the Senatorial seats.

While extolling Folarin, Akintunde lauded that,”The current senator who is now the governorship candidate of our party has performed very well and we are now stepping into his shoe, and I think we just want to ride it and perform better for the constituents.

While reacting to political matters, Dr Akintunde said,”Some people are afraid of staying in their own house. They are not being accommodated in their own house and they have gone to come to my father’s house, and they want to dictate to us. They need cover, we are going to provide cover for them but not on unreasonable conditions. I can assure you that we are the original members of this party. We are in our party, they are the one going partyless now and they need a party to operate so why do we need to be afraid. In terms of competency, in terms of qualification they are not far better than any of our candidates. I can assure you we are not afraid of anybody. We will welcome them, they will support the system and we will accommodate them”.
