Oyo Community Organises Thanksgiving Service, Celebrates Akintunde, Adeyemi’s Electoral victories.

Good people of Oyo community and its environs, have, yesterday held a thanksgiving service, to celebrate electoral victories of two of their illustrious sons, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, the senator elect of Oyo Central Senatorial District, and Hon Akeem Adeyemi, the reelected Member, House of Representatives from Oyo federal constituency.
The thanksgiving jumuat service took place at Ansarudeen Central Mosque in Oyo, and it witnessed by teeming supporters and eminent people from the federal constituency, and beyond.
Giving a keynote address, the Chief Imam of the Mosque, Sheik Mikhail Bolaji Adeyemo, noted that it was necessary for the people to return all glory and adorations to Allah who made the victories of Dr Akintunde and Hon. Adeyemi a dream come through, praying that may Allah continue to enlarge them in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He also prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection over the duo.
Recall Dr Yunus Akintunde is the third Oyo indigene elected as senator to represent Oyo central senatorial district. The first two are Professor Wande Abimbola elected and served for three months in 1992 and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.
Alsi Hon. Adeyemi, popularly known as SKIMMEH is the second federal lawmak to represent Oyo federal constituency twice, after Hon Kamil Akinlabi.
During the thanksgiving, a constituent disclosed that although the past representatives have not done enough to Oyo Federal Constituency, he expressed optimism that with the leadership of Hon Akeem Adeyemi, Oyo federal constituency would keep wearing a new look of development.
Other speakers during the Thanksgiving, showered encomia on Dr Akintunde, the senator elect of Oyo Central Senatorial District, whom they noted has for long displayed his unalloyed kindness and generosity to all and sundry. They maintained that they were hopeful that his representation in the National Assembly would attract the needed sustainable and human capital development to the senatorial district.
