Oyo: Concerned APC Members Refute Claims By “Faceless” Group Parading Omodewu As New Party Chair.

Some concerned members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo-State have refuted claims by a group, within the party, which they described as faceless, parading one Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu as the new party chairman in the state.

This is contained in a press release issued by the concerned progressive members and which was made available to the newsmen by qtheir spokesperson, ‘Kunle Ogunleke, today in Ibadan.

The full press release goes thus;”We write to refute the claim by faceless section of the Oyo state APC affirming Mr. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu as the new Chairman of the party. These discredited politicians asserts in a recently circulated video, that Omodewu’s emergence was reached by the consensus of the critical stakeholders in Oke Ogun zone 1 of the APC.


“We wish to state here and unequivocally too, that the purported press release was the figment of the imagination of some desperate politicians whose political orientations are alien to the civilised practices and norms of the APC. There is no iota of truth in the whole press release. The objective of these unscrupulous and discredited politicians is to create confusion with a view to misleading the unsuspecting members of the public.


“For the avoidance of doubt, the process of arriving at the emergence of a consensus chairman is still ongoing at the state party Secretariat with all the stakeholders in attendance.


“We wish to enjoin the members of the public and patriotic members of the APC in Oyo state to discountenance the said publication and await genuine announcement from the headquarters of the party.


“Meanwhile, we wish to admonish the party members to conduct themselves in an orderly manner at tomorow’s Congress and shun all acts of violence and political brigandage in its entirety”, they concluded.
