Oyo DG: Omodewu, The Best Man for The Job.

THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB.

The race for the position for the Deputy Governor is becoming tensed up for Senator Teslim Folarin, the Oyo State’s Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) just as it was for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the same party, before the emergence of Senator Kashim Shetima of Bornu State, his Vice President. But one thing is certain. The DG will come from Oke Ogun Zone that has the highest number of votes after Ibadan zone. The zone has 10 LGAs second to Ibadan that has 11 LGAs.

Though there are many illustrious sons and daughters of Oke Ogun that are well qualified for the position of DG, but Honourable Ajiboye Isaac Omodewu is the Best Man for the Job.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE.
His father, Pa Omodewu (Baba Otu) was one of the strong member of ‘ACTION GROUP’, an Exco member of UPN in 1974, down the progressive line where he progressively moved the party to greater heights in Oyo state and the Western Region in general. The young Isaac Omodewu was always with his father and other elders during this period, so he started politics earlier and really learnt from the best in the game, and like father like son he has been in the progressive family since 1978 till date.

He was with the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi of blessed memory when the Felele politics was hot. He was always seen in the company of Ajimọbi before his emergence as the ACN Gubernatorial Candidate in 2011.

His support for Ajimobi paved way for him to become the Commissioner for three great Ministries when Ajimọbi ruled Oyo State for 8 years. He was Commissioner for Lands & Housing, and Ministry for Local Government & Chieftancy Matter, Ministry of Physical, Urban and Regional planning where he performed excellently well.

He also aspired for governorship position in 2018 before he stepped down for Adebayo Adelabu that later became the APC candidate in 2019 election. His campaign across the state was seen as one of the best during this period as he was widely accepted by party members across the state before he bowed to party supremacy.

Ajiboye Omodewu is the current Oyo-APC Chairman, a position he got for his loyalty and service to the party.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
He started his elementary education in Otu. He proceeded to Baptist Modern School, Otu, Community Grammar School, Otu, for His O LEVEL, and Ansar-U-deen High School, Saki for his secondary EDUCATION, were He obtained his A-Level certificate ,later got OND from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. His quest for higher learning took him to the United States of America where he bagged a B.Sc in Accounting from City University of New York, New York City, also LLB from lead city university ibadan, and was trained as a high level administrator. He also had his MBA certification from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

Ajiboye Omodewu worked with different corporations in the US before he ventured into politics.

He’s a fellow of various professional organizations, among which are:
i. Certificate Institute of Management
ii. Chartered Institute of Finance & Investment

Base on our investigation and fact findings, we believe that Ajiboye Omodewu as our Deputy Governor will bring a lot of dividends of democracy to Oke Ogun Zone and Oyo State at large. It will also give APC a better chance of  winning the 2023 elections convincingly.

He is the most qualified because he is among the few of Ajimobi Think Tank remaining in APC, and also stood by the party during the crisis of our party in 2018.

Omodewu is loyal and diligent.
He is the best man for the job, and we stand better chance of winning election because of his grassroots network in all over the 33 LG of oyo state.
