Oyo: Ex NANS VP, Alli Egbesola Chides Amotekun, Kicks Against Extrajudicial Killings, Advises Makinde.

Former Vice President(External Affairs) of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Comrade Alli Egbesola popularly known as ‘Neonate’ has chided Western Nigeria Security Network(WNSN) codenamed as “Operation Amotekun” over their abuse of power and reckless ways of handling security issues in the state.

The National Coordinator of Think Nigeria Solidarity Movement(TNSM), Egbesola also kicked against extrajudicial killings of innocent citizens in the state by Amotekun security personnel and other law enforcement officers. He advised Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to buckle down and seriously face the business of governance by prioritizing the security of lives and properties in the pacesetter state.

On one of his verified social media platforms, Egbesola wrote:

” ‘IF I MAY ASK’?

is ‘AMOTEKUN’, Oyo state command serving the purpose of their establishment?. Primary aim of ‘AMOTEKUN’ is to secure lives and properties, to deal with criminal elements and invaders into our territories, boundaries and ‘VILLAGES’, those who are killing farmers, destroying their crops and other related items indiscriminately.

But unfortunately, Amotekun, Oyo state command has missed the priority of the act that brought them into existence, but they have turned to anti-people officers carrying their guns around the city and humiliating innocent masses that they suppose to secure.

If I may ask, when did ‘AMOTEKUN’ turn to annex of ‘OYRTMA’ or that of ‘OYSTROMA’, are they part of ‘OPERATION BURST’, or are they enlisted to work with FRSC. Why holding guns in the traffic or joints that are not crisis-ridden.

They use their reckless attitude to extrajudicially take away life of ‘GBADEBO KOLADE’, a 4000Level student of Federal College of Education (SP) Oyo in affiliation with the University of Ibadan(UI). This innocent student was murdered and till date there is no reaction from either the Governor of Oyo state Himself or His emissaries.

Yesterday, 22 Dec, 2020 They still continue with their unscrupulous behavior.They attacked SUG President of University of Ibadan ,Com. Akeju and some of Our comrades with heavy arms on their way to investigate the death of a fellow Student.

Mr. Governor Sir, when the Amotekun outfit was inaugurated in the state to ameliorate insecurities facing pacesetter, in your remark, you stated that you should be held responsible for the actions and inactions of the outfit.

Amotekun Corps are going out their boundaries now. Mr Governor sir! please, send them to where they belong, especially, to serve the purpose of their establishment. Take them to countryside in Oke -Ogun, Ibarapa, Oyo, Ogbomosho and Ibadan boundaries to prevent and stop invaders into our land.

Or are they here to attack masses?. We don’t need them in the cities and towns except at the ‘flash areas’. They should stop killing, harassment, threatening and bullying of our people. Mr. Governor sir and Your comrades-in-administration should act now. Let Amotekun corps go to where they belong to. They are local hunters,so,”WE DON’T REALLY NEED AMOTEKUN IN TOWN, ENOUGH OF THIS EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING AND INJUSTICE”.
