Oyo Female Councillors Identify With Florence Ajimobi As She Completes Stay At Home Mourning Rites .
All Female Elected Councillors(AFEC) in Oyo state has felicitated with the former First Lady, Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi, over the successful completion of the compulsory Islamic mourning rite for her late husband, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi.
It is recalled that former Governor Ajimobi died on June 25, 2020 and his widow, Chief Florence Ajimobi started 140-day stay-at-home mourning exercise after the burial of the deceased as mandated by the religion of Islam which her husband practiced until he died .
This is contained in a press release issued in Ibadan yesterday and made available to the newsmen by AFEC spokespersons, Hon. Ajegbomogun Taye Busola and Hon. Oyelere Folasade Mayowa .
Oyo AFEC lauded Madam Ajimobi for her perseverance, tenacity, patience and dedication to observe the long period of stay-at-home in honour of her late husband and patriarch of the family .
"As it has dawned on us, the passage of our patriarch, mentor and benefactor, Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, this is also an opportunity to celebrate the legend and console the widow, who happens to be our matriarch as she just completed the long period prescribed by Islam for a woman to stay at home to mourn her late husband and everyone of us has to identity with Abiola Ajimobi's family once again and always ".
" May God Almighty in His infinite mercy protect our Matriarch, Chief(Dr) Florence Ajimobi and the children. May He give her the strength to hold together all that the husband, Gov. Ajimobi left behind be it human and material assets ", they prayed.
