Oyo: Former ALGON Chair, Abass Aleshinloye Mourns Ex- Council Boss, Bimbo Omiyale, Commiserates with Family, Forum Members, Others.

Following the death of the former Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government Area, Hon. Bimbo Omiyale, this morning (17/09/2023), after a protracted illness, As announced by the family, the former Algon Chairman in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye MDII, said he is “deeply saddened by the news”.

In a statement made available to the journalists through his media office, Prince Aleshinloye expressed his heartfelt condolences to the late Omiyale’s family, the Forum 68 (ex-Oyo Algon members), and the people of Ibadan South East Local Government Area. His death is a rude shock, sadness, and disbelief for the former Council Chairman, who until his demise was “a strong, dedicated, and loyal member of our forum”.

The former council chairman described the late Omiyale as a “dedicated and committed gentleman”, who contributed to the growth and development of his community and local government area. He stated that he would be greatly missed by his political associates and others close to him.

It will be recalled that the late Omiyale battled with an undisclosed ailment for some periods and was hospitalised before he gave up the ghost. Aleshinloye charged the incumbent governor of Oyo State to fulfil the Supreme Court judgement by paying all the entitlements of the ex-Algon on time in order to meet the financial obligations of its members. He said many of his members have died owing to a lack of funds to meet their medical bills. The death of Bimbo Omiyale now brings the number of his lost members to 27 due to one medical challenge or another.

He will be buried today (October 17, 2023) at 4 p.m. at his residence at Bankole area, off tipper garage, Ibadan, according to Muslim rites.

Aleshinloye prayed to God to accept the deceased’s soul and grant the family and friends the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
