Oyo: Govt Technical College Alumni Holds Reunion on Sunday.


The Government Technical College, Oyo, Alumni Association has made proper arrangements to hold its first reunion on Sunday 27th December 2020 at Events Hall of Bolmor Polytechnic beside BCOS FM, opposite Watershed Celebration Center, Old Ife Road, Ibadan by 2pm prompt.


The event is the ‘First Reunion’ of its kind created in August 2020 with over 120 members within and outside the country in attendance.


Also, the updates of the second reunion of the Alumni led by its Coordinator, a UK based technocrat, Engr. Sanjo Kanmi – Jones (GOC) and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan by the General Secretary of the Alumni Association, Alh.( Hon.) Kazeem Ademola Alimi indicated that another event will be hold in April 2021 at GTC Oyo hall where all members, including those in diaspora, are expected to attend on a date, within April 2021 , to be fixed later.


The Chairman of the Reunion Planning Committee, Engr. Ibrahim Saka Adio, IBB and his Secretary, Comrade Adeola Adeoshun – Davis, ( KOSCOGEN) also disclosed that all is set for the programme take place.

According to the Coordinator, Engr. Sanjo Kanmi – Jones, the first reunion is necessary to rekindle old friendship of over three decades and fraternise with each other. “And we also plan to support each other. We plan to give back to the school, to promote ‘Social Networking’ of the members”.

Members are strictly advised to comply with COVID -19 Task Force directives.

According to the organizers, members are advised to signify their intention to participate in order to make arrangements for their presence and also to carry along those who could not be present physically and those in diaspora who could not make this first reunion via online participation, through Zoom, Facebook and other social media platforms.
