Oyo: Group Condemns Demolition of BCOS Staff Quarters.
A leading Socio-Political Group in Ibadan, Oyo state, “The Rescue Team Plus” has condemned the recent demolition of Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) staff quarters, despite the early denial, by the state government led by Engr Seyi Makinde.
This is contained in a press release issued by the group helmsman, Alhaji Wahab Adebisi(Unique) and made available to the newsmen yesterday in Ibadan.
The group described the step as an act of wickedness, dictatorship and clear return to tyrannical era, typical, of previous People’s Democratic Party(PDP) led administrations in the state.
The group expressed her shock that a government who claimed to be a friend of the workers and which was elected on the mantra of populism has now suddenly become vindictive and disrespectful.
The group noted that destroying the institutions of governance to satisfy the insatiable appetite of political jobbers and merchants, fraternising around this government, is shameful.
The group advised Governor Makinde to stop terrorising the good people of Oyo-State. They frowned at his commercialization of government’s properties to reward his sponsors.
The group leader, Alhaji Adebisi reiterated that the era of doing things in old ways should not be returned in the state.
