His Recent ‘Video’ Interview, Shameful, Disgusting – PDP Group Knocks Olopoeyan

A social-political movement within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Egalitarian Group, has expressed strong opposition to a statement made by a chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan and described it as “laughable” and “a mere fantasy”.

Recall that in a viral ‘video’ interview that was circulated in the media, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan boasted that the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, would support his gubernatorial ambitions come 2027.

According to the group’s state coordinator, Popoola Iyiola Pius, Governor Makinde has not made any such promise or commitment to Olopoeyani or the NNPP.

The group accused Olopoeyan of trying to deceive the public and gain political relevance by dropping the governor’s name.

The group emphasised that Governor Makinde is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and has not indicated any intention to support the NNPP or Olopoeyan’s ambition.

The PDP egalitarian group urged the public to disregard Olopoeyan’s statement describing it as “a desperate attempt to seek attention”.They reaffirmed their support for Governor Makinde and the PDP, stating that they would continue to work towards the party’s success in the state.

The group also warned Olopoeyan and his party to desist from spreading false information and to focus on their own political strategies.‘’Our party will never go back to those days of political dealers which were championed by Olopoeniyan. When he left for NNPP, peace and tranquillity have been restored.
