Oyo: Guber Hopeful, Prof Akande Commiserates With Muslim Ummah Over Ogbomoso Chief Imam’s Demise.

A leading Gubernatorial Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, Professor Adeolu Akande has commiserated with the league of Imams and Alfas, and also, with the entire Muslim Ummah in the State over the death of Imam Abdulyakeen Ashafa, the chief Imam of Ogbomosoland.

Professor Akande who is the Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC) described the late Islamic cleric as a man of peace who played a major role in maintaining religious harmony and peaceful co-existence in Ogbomoso land and its environs.

“The late Chief Imam was a lover of peace. That is why people of different religious lineages are mourning his demise. I pray Allah admit him in Aljannah Firdaus and grant the family left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Akande added.
