Oyo: Ignore Publication on Purported Suspension of Prof Akande from APC – Ademola Salami Says.

Caretaker Chairman of All Progressives Congress in Ward 8 of Itesiwaju Local Government, Mr Ademola Salami has described as untrue the purported suspension of Professor Adeolu Akande from the party.

The Chairman in a statement in Otu said “the news of the purported suspension of our respected leader came to the party as a surprise”.

According to him “As the Chairman of the party in Ward 8,I state without any fear of contradiction that nothing of sort happened. There was no move or plan to suspend Prof Akande from the party”.

“Prof Akande is not an ordinary member of the party. He is our leader and pride. He is one of the pillars of Ward 8 and Itesiwaju Local Government. He is a major player in APC not only in Oyo state but Nigeria as a whole”.

The party Chairman who advised the public to ignore the purported letter of suspension, assured that necessary steps had been taken to fish out those behind the purported fake letter suspending Prof Akande.

“We call on the public to ignore the fake letter. We have reported the impersonator to security agencies so that those behind the criminal act of impersonation are brought to book”,he submitted
