Oyo LG Elections: Agbaje Sues for Peace, Drums Support for APC Candidates
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, has sued for peace from across the state as electorates go to the polls for the local government elections.
“The local government is the closest government to the people, and the election to them is one that should be taken seriously by the people.
“I want to urge the people to go out en masse to participate in the local government election holding tomorrow. The talk of it being an election that is rigged in favour of the government in power is a myth that rides on the apathy of the electorate. If the people come out and vote for the candidates of their choice, it would be near impossible to subvert their will. We are peaceful people and must demonstrate that as we go to the polls tomorrow.”
He also urged electorates to vote massively for the APC candidates in all the local governments.
“The candidates of our party are from the grassroots and are close to the people. They know the yearnings of their people and are ready to address them. It is time to vote for competence at the grassroots.
